Dear all,
I am currently using the SimPEG library, which I consider to be an exceptionally robust and versatile computational tool. At present, I am performing a joint inversion of gravity and magnetic data using the cross-gradient constraint, following the script titled Cross-gradient Joint Inversion of Gravity and Magnetic Anomaly Data.
In this context, I have two questions:
-
Model Contrast Resolution:
Which parameter(s) or section(s) of the code should be adjusted to enhance the resolution of density and magnetic susceptibility contrasts? Despite manually specifying contrast values and increasing the number of iterations, I have not observed significant improvements in the resulting models. -
Computational Performance:
I have noticed that the inversion process runs quite slowly on my dataset. Although I have adjusted the mesh discretization, the execution time remains high due to the data volume. Is there a recommended strategy for optimization—such as selecting a more efficient solver—that could help improve computational performance?
Thank you in advance for your time and any guidance you may be able to offer.
Sincerely,
