Modelling x component in TDEM tutorials

Hello, I have been looking at the X component in some SkyTEM data collected recently as part of a survey over a landslide in NZ. I was interested in testing some modelling approaches using the SimPEG TDEM tutorials(eg fwd_tdem_1d) by changing the receiver_orientation from “z” to “x”, changing the source geometry from a circular loop to a rectangular loop, and moving the receiver outside the loop. I don’t think it is picking up the orientation information as the computed field is always the z component. I am interested to know if someone has an example of a tutorial looking at horizontal fields from an airborne (or ground-based) TDEM system over a 1D earth?
