Calculating Gz from Gzz

Hi,

I have recently learned how to use Gravity and Magnetic 3D Inversion in geoapps.
Since SimPEG uses an integral equation approach, does this mean I can produce Gz when I perform inversion on Gzz data? If so, at which iteration number is Gz produced?

Good question …
I don’t know the answer, but it would be easy to test using synthetic data (the Flin Flon model would do it). Intuitively, I would say probably no. Mainly because the tensor components would be insensitive to the bulk response, only the gradients. But I could be wrong…
